I have no idea why that pic is now making the rounds as something amazing, its a couple years old at least. I've seen it in a bazillion places as something new now.

It's 'cause Teeps misses his postcount. :P I didn't get it the first time though, never having watched BSG at the time, so I am glad it's resurfaced, if only because NOW I get the damn Tolhurst factor.
-
i think topless robot posted it recently, hence the newfound love. i saw it on bleedingcool, myself.
i only realized it was old after i posted it.
either way, too fucking awesome.
-
I like the Demotivational, myself :P If I were a bigger BSG fan, I would probably get something like that printed large at Kinko's or something and put it up... or sit it in the storage room until we move into a place with decent wall space for such silliness :(
-
you can move into my pants for some guaranteed silliness... :-*
-
I can't decide if this is classic not-saying-what-you-think-you're-saying or not  (another smiley we definitely need to track down)
I'm pretty sure that if pants and laughter are involved, someone's feelings are definitely getting hurt.
-
nah, in celebration of a new pi i'm taking shit back to 2002 and flirting with everything that walks and/or breathes.

I've never seen it before and consider myself to be a BSG fan.
TPD: Did you ever stop flirting with everything that moves??

He never hit on me... Maybe its the age gap?
Or that I'm taller.:P
-
It's definitely not the age gap.
-
You may have a point.
In other news. I haven't watched any BSG. Ever...

In other news. I haven't watched any BSG. Ever...
Clearly THAT is why he hasn't hit on you :P
-
Freak, check it out. You will be pleasantly surprised at how good it is.
BTW I need another awesome TV series to watch. Someone give me a suggestion of one that has at least a couple of seasons behind it so I can stay entertained for a bit.
Previous PI suggested TV series that I <3:
Sons of Anarchy
Breaking Bad
Dexter
Stargate SG1
-
Well r00 if you can cope with the fact it got canned after three seasons....Deadwood! I loved it, and you will see many familiar faces from those other series. Romewasn't bad either, but again... shelved after two seasons... very sad.
-
Does Deadwood wrap up at all? I started watching it a few years ago (only the first episode or 2).

If you're through SG-1, feel free to get started on SG: Atlantis. The first season is a little shaky at the beginning, but it gets good after that. Even better than SG-1, in my opinion.
As well, if you haven't watched Farscape yet there's something criminally wrong with you. Once again, the first season is a little shaky. Partly its because the writers are trying to really find each character's role, and party because its really hard to write a show where the level of hatred and animosity between all the characters is so extremely high to start with. They have to very slowly break a little of that down to get the show going. At least they went somewhat realistic with it, with the show taking place on a prison ship where the prisoners took over. Of course they all hate and distrust one another.
Final recommendation, although this one might be a little tricky to find: Regenesis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReGenesis). Canadian show that ran for four seasons on Movie Central (Canada's HBO-equivalent). Its a bit like a cross between House and CSI, but deals with bleeding edge microbiology tech and viral outbreaks instead of crime scenes or medicine. Its easily one of the most underrated shows in the history of television, and never really found its audience while it was on the air due to terrible marketing. The writing is absolutely superb, and the show was actually sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Research, and after each episode they'd post on the show's website actual research papers that showed the science proposed in the show is actually possible, even if a little remote at the time the show aired.

When should I start Atlantis in regards to SG1 seasons. Right now I am stalled in the middle of SG1 season 8.

LOL! A workmate continually tells me this same thing since I have never watched it. I saw all of them hit Netflix recently, so I will probably check them out finally.

I will definitely check this one out too. Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that where you are is right at or right after Atlantis spun off. I would warn against trying to juggle back and forth to keep the timeline even though; they just don't move that way. While I wouldn't go quite so far as to suggest that Atlantis is better than SG-1, it certainly is worth giving a chance beyond the first season. The only reason I did is because my fiance insisted on staying with it, and I'm glad that he did. I will admit that the writing is a little more complex than it is in SG-1; it's not quite as clean cut as Everyone Versus the Goa'ould (yeah, I have no clue how to spell it and cba to look it up =P).
-

The finale to season 7 was the launching point for Atlantis' pilot, so you're in about the right point. Seasons 8-10 of SG-1 aired alongside seasons 1-3 of Atlantis. Personally though, I'd try not to do both shows at the same time. There isn't a whole lot of crossover (with the exception of a couple of episodes), so unless you're timing it frackin' perfectly like the episodes were aired, shit could just get wierd in a couple points. Finish SG-1, then hit up Atlantis. Then SG:Universe, if you want to see what happens when Stargate tries to imitate BSG and ends up getting Fireflied.
-
I think that's the route I will go... just finishing one before starting the other.
-
As well, I totally understand why you're stalled in season 8. It takes some effort to get through the establishment of the Ori plots. Once they get it going though, its pretty damn satisfying.
-
i don't believe in no age gap. 8)
-
Sorry r00, Deadwood kinda shits in the middle of a tense situation. Some plotlines get completed pretty well but others leave you hanging. it's a real shame as I'm sure Freakadore will agree, I know he had a lot of deadwood love last year.
-
Deadwood last episode as far as wrapping stuff up was kinda 50-50. Some stuff is wrapped up tight. Other stuff not even close. Its still really good and worth a watch. I felt a little down about the ending. Or really the lack there of... But not really by that much. Everything may not get wrapped up, but it isn't a terrible ending... *shrug* Either way, worth a watch.
-
r00 - presume you saw TSCC?
There is barely any TV I watch at all now. All the shows I really liked have come to a halt, and I've completed 24 & Lost. Am watching the new series of Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle, watched the last series of Skins, (a minor return to form), will watch the next series of Scream Queens. That's about it. Keep meaning to do The Wire properly, and wondering whether I can be bothered with Boardwalk Empire.
-
Yeah, I was very sad when they canned TSCC. 8(
-
Been watching weeds, I don't really keep up on tv so it's probably old news but it's pretty hilarious.
Also got B the first 2 seasons of the office for his bday which I know is super old news but that's ok
-
Ahahaha, Garrik and I found Weeds on netflix a bit ago... yeah, it may be old, but whatever. Still funny as hell :P
My tv apathy is actually such that I have never seen an episode of the office. Just can't be arsed to look it up on the intertubes.
-
Neither have I ;)
-
Is anyone watching Game of Thrones? I'm really impressed so far. Other than the slight aging of the younger characters it's been pretty true to the book and I think they did an fantastic job with the casting.
-
I've never read the books, and probably never will. Given what I've read about them, they don't quite seem like my thing. However, I am watching the show, and really liking it for the most part. The plots are bloody dense though, so I have to be sure to watch it while I have absolutely no distraction whatsoever, which is rare when there's a 9-month-old in the house. :P Either way, I like it when a show treats its audience like an adult in the actual presentation of the show as a whole, and not just in the violence/tits sense of the word (even though there's plenty of that too, so, double-win!).
-
I keep wanting to download Game of Thrones, but will probably wait until further in the season when I can marathon it. I hate waiting for shit every week. 8-p
As for Weeds...loved the first 2 seasons especially. After that, it kinda jumped the shark for a bit, but the most recent season was very good and back to basics IMO.
-
I've been hearing good things about Game of Thrones, too. I might give it a try.
However, the show that has me utterly hooked and downloading new episodes every week, like a moron, is Community. Such a good show. I haven't laughed like this in a while. The second season has just ended, there's no new Mad Men in sight... I... have... nothing... to... watch...
...

I have the first two episodes on my computer but haven't watched it yet. Been hearing good things about it.
Currently I am going through the entire Supernatural series and am currently at the end of season 1.
I also started watching Star Trek for the first time and love it. I don't know what I was thinking but I always thought ST was lame and lame and really really lame and kind of lame. I started with TNG and got into it really quickly and now I can't stop.

That's good to know, we're on the last few eps of season 5 and Kevin nealon is pretty much the only thing keeping me interested right now
-
smallville finally ended. thank fucking god.
that was a painful 10 years.
and insult to surrey.
:P

I thought it got a little bit better after they introduced The Justice League. It is one of those shows that I lost interest in a long time ago but never stopped watching for some reason.

I admit I have a huge crush on Jean Luc Picard. :P
-
I've always been a bit of a Riker fangirl, myself. And at some point in my youth I may or may not have had an inkling of a crush on Tasha Yar >.>;
-
I just finished watching lost. Yeah, im behind. I really, really enjoyed it.
Also, just started watching 24. On the second episode. Don't know so far.

This is awesome, and I wholeheartedly support this endeavor.
How far through it are you? If I say "Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra", do you know what I mean? :P
-
Andrea: I can agree with you on the Piccard hotness. SEXAH!
Goose: I've finished the whole seven seasons of TNG so yeah that sentence makes sense to me though it shouldn't. :p
Next up is Deep Space Nine. I still have to watch the original series though. My brother managed to get a hold of everything ST, every movie and every episode ever made so I'm going to work my way through it all. I have to admit that I felt sad when I finished the last TNG episode, I wanted more.

~hydra
That's why there's 4 TNG movies! :D
-
Too bad First Contact was the only really good one; I can stomach the others but they run the gamut from mediocre to okay.
-
DS9 didn't really do much for me as a show. It had some cool characters (love Neelix!) but the writing left something to be desired in my opinion.
As far as the movies, I have to agree with Sin.
-

This is exactly how I felt about it too. I drifted off after the first couple of seasons aired and never came back to it.
As far as the TNG movies go... First Contact was indeed awesome, but I have always had a soft spot for Generations too.
-
DS9 didn't really do much for me as a show. It had some cool characters (love Neelix!) but the writing left something to be desired in my opinion.
Um, are you sure you have your shows straight? Neelix was on Voyager, not DS9. If you're thinking of Voyager, I'll agree with you. Voyager sucked hairy goat testicles for seven years straight.
DS9, once it got going, was great. It was definitely a different point of view on the ST universe than the previous two shows. In the other shows, you got a basic glimpse of a new culture over one episode, usually focusing on one controversial aspect of it. In DS9, they took two (and later three) very different societies, and plumbed them down in depth and really got into the nitty-gritty of how massive cultural and historical differences work in the long term in an international environment.
Of course, you have to wait until DS9 really gets going to start experiencing the awesome. The first season was atrocious, in that the pilot episode sets things up decently enough, and then everything that happened in the pilot is completely forgotten about for the rest of the season while a bunch of useless shit happens on the station. Finally, in the season 1 finale, something relevant actually happens, and the show starts moving (albeit slowly). Once you're into season 3, then you're rolling.
As well, Avery Brooks is one of the most underrated actors of the 20th century. Once the writers start giving him quality material to work with (which is about the same time he shaves his head), he just exudes power from the screen with every glance. Totally awesome.
This reminds me, I gotta get my wife to give Enterprise a shot. She might like that one.
-
you just made me want to give DS9 another shot.
-
Ah, Goose, you're right. I blame the lack of coffee and the overall strangeness of the morning. I'd have to give DS9 another go to say whether or not I agree on the particulars; truth is that I don't remember it overly well, but I was incorrectly projecting my dislike of Voyager on to DS9.
-
I'm holding off on picking up other seasons of TNG (I only own 1 and 3) because it gives my mom something to buy me for Christmas, because she always complains that she doesn't know what to get me :p
-
I have seen a few ST movies but that was some time ago and yeah I didn't think they were worth much. I'm hoping they will be better now since I know the characters and backstory and all that.
I'm still going through Supernatural, now halfway through season 2 and still as good as ever. I love that series.
~hydra
-
First Contact was absolutely great; I was lucky enough to see it in theaters and I've always loved it. The others were pretty 'meh,' but again, I will ALWAYS love and throw down for First Contact. It's either that or Wrath of Khan that takes the place of my favorite Star Trek movie overall, spanning all casts.
-
KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
Someone else will have to provide the gif; I'm in the breakroom at work on my phone :P It just had to be done.

So I'm watching Beyonce's new video and it's kinda like she thinks she's M.I.A. now? But a few years too late and way watered-down.
-
She is pretty so I'd let it slide.
I downloaded all of Game of Thrones Monday night. I watched all of it in one go. (I watched ep 1 and then watched eps 2-5 in a sitting. Amazing stuff. So much so I want to get the book (if I like the first one, I will read more of them...)
-

dude, i was thinking the same thing!
i'm almost positive she's got some of m.i.a's producers now too.

I too quite love the series so far, but there are a few differences. The main one I can remember is that Cersei, the queen, is possibly the most unpleasant character in the first book (Joffrey gives her a run for her money) whereas they've made her slightly more likeable in the TV show.
Also, the fifth book in the series is coming out in July, so I'd get it at the same time as the fourth one because they're supposed to be read together and the fourth one is unusually dull.
-
I can't really see her being worst then she is in the show. Really thought the more I see in the show the more I want to rip through the books. (I haven't read the sample yet. I'm really trying to finish the book I'm reading now, well at lest one of the books I'm reading now...)
-
(Spoiler alert) that stuff about the miscarriage is all made-up; to my or my wife's recollection it doesn't appear in the books at all and we can't figure out why.
I guess that's kind of a reverse spoiler-alert, then!
-
Okay r00, did U2 officially jump the shark now that Bono and The Edge have appeared on Idol promoting their Broadway craptacular?
-
I'll answer your question with this statement:
U2 was here last weekend and I didn't go. This is the first tour of theirs I have not attended since pre-1991.

God, what a shitstorm that was.

I really enjoy their older catalogue, it makes me sad to think they've fallen so far as all of that. They've been hit-or-miss (in my estimation) since All That You Can't Leave Behind *ducks* but to see them reach a point where they start driving off really dedicated fans is hugely disappointing. Makes it seem like it's too late to really SEE them, and I never have.
-

I've said the same thing many times. That was last great album and tour IMO.
-
I went back and watched S5 of Doctor Who after I found out it was on Netflix streaming. I wasn't a big fan of that season when it first ran, but it's a lot better than I originally gave it credit for. Probably because knowing the ending it was a lot easier to see the foreshadowing and all the tiny details they threw in along the way, rather than forgetting about it in between weekly episodic airings.
I still hate River Song though. HATE. I get her as a concept, and I like the idea, but I swear to christ I want punch my screen every time she says 'spoilers'. I GET IT YOURE FROM THE FUTURE AND YOU CANT TALK ABOUT IT NOW SHUT UP.
-
River Song becomes a supremely less annoying character in season 6.
-
I'm late on this train, but Game of Thrones is ... interesting. And fun. And cool.
-

I've been keeping up with Season 6, and the only good episodes are the ones that she's not in.
-
I'm watching The Pretender, granted its kinda dated. But one of my roommates used to watch it as a kid (err when it was on tv) and I remember watching it with him some times. (I have known him since I was in Kindergarten and he was in First Grade... So pretty much all my life)
-
Anyone else fully caught up on Californication?
-
Anyone else fully caught up on Californication?
Netflix needs to catch up on past seasons :hmm: I wanna say there are two seasons between where Netflix stopped and the current season, and, not that I have cable to begin with, much less showtime, I wanna watch the rest!
-
Did not like A Game of Thrones last night - our introduction to Tywin should have been to see him act like he was king; he is the source of his children's arrogance, and should have been seen in his element. So I say.
-
Anyone else fully caught up on Californication?
Yes, unless there's a new series I don't know about. Do we have spoiler tags on new PI?
-
Last week I started going through all of the Louis Theroux documentaries. Great stuff. Not sure if you guys will have seen much of him though. They went out on the BBC but the majority of them were filmed in the US.
-
Yes, unless there's a new series I don't know about. Do we have spoiler tags on new PI?

Woots! Fast like a freak!
-
Netflix has been adding so many TV series lately, I don't know where to start!
I keep falling asleep during the season opener to SG1 season 9 too. This doesn't bode well. 8|
-
Need more Sons of Anarchy.
-
Need more Sons of Anarchy.
Ditto!
-
I realize I'm 5 years late to a party no one probably rsvp'd to, but I'm tearing through Bones since they put it up on netflix. God I love netflix.
-
I started watching Bones after I got addicted to the original Law & Order and got obsessed with the police procedural shows and needed to feed the beast. Now TNT usually shows Bones after L&O so it's convenient.
On the subject of Law & Order I'm upset that TNT has changed their schedule; I work weekend overnights and on Saturday night/Sunday morning from 3am to 6am they used to show pre-Sam Waterston Laws & Order with Michael Moriarty and Paul Sorvino and shit. I think the first 3 seasons were the best of that ridiculously long-running series, but now TNT shows CSI from 3-6 instead.
-
God I love netflix.
I say that at least 5 times a day.
-
Thanks to netflix, I've determined that I actually like Twilight Zone a lot more than Hitchcock Presents; a notion that I had backwards until recently.
-
twilight zone is soooo goood.
i remember buying the entire series a few years back... and then seeing the thing get a deluxe official release and getting pissed...
so i'm going to blu-ray that shit when it's all available.
so good.
-
Ditto!
Ill third this notion for Sons of Anarchy.
also, PLOWED through every season and both movies for Trailer Park Boys.
SO FUCKING GOOD.
-

Is that all the aired episodes of TZ that they have on Netflix or is it partial?
I started watching Game of Thrones over the weekend and it is just as awesome as I thought it would be. First of all, I am a sucker for fantasy stuff like that, but it also has so many completely awesome acts of vengeance in it. Just like Sopranos did.
-
I keep seeing Trailer Park Boys on Netflix and wanting to start watching it. I think I will soon.
you wont regret it!
-
I'll chip in a hells-yeah for Trailer Park Boys. Probably the finest comedy Canada has ever exported.
-
I have seen clips from in on various ganja resources and it was funny as hell.
-
I watched all of the US Shameless. Good stuff. Really good. CRAZY shit happens. So now I'm checking out the UK version. And some of the dialog is the same. Well no. Most is the same.
-
Is that all the aired episodes of TZ that they have on Netflix or is it partial?
So far as I can tell, it's all of the classic series. 5 seasons, about 30 eps per season. If not all, then a hell of a lot.
Also, I finally got around to sending the netflix disc back, so now I can start Mad Men. Slowly but surely.
-
just watched mad men season one. goddamn.
<3
-
oh yeah, that's the series I was trying to remember I wanted to watch!
I watched all of Boardwalk Empire last week. It was pretty good. I love the theme song. I think the psycho fed comes across as being written weird for the sake of being weird though. Almost like they are trying too hard. Kelly Macdonald is superb in it. Whoever cast her was genius.
and... is that one cronie Vinny from Doogie Howser MD? hahahaha
-

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

just got into The Big Bang Theory.
funny stuff.
noticed 3 people who all played in Rosanne.
-
Dear Netflix,
Thanks for putting all TNG episodes up for streaming. I won't have to worry about what to watch for about a week or so. Small aside, thanks for also adding the classic series as well. I'll get to have an informed opinion on an age-old debate.
Thanks!
-me.
-
O_O They added TNG?!?! I had only seen that they added the classic series. Wow, Netflix owns me recently. I also was watching all the Alfred Hitchcock Presents episodes they have.
-
I've actually been watching the original series of Star Trek. I just hate the revamped graphics for the enterprise. Sigh.
-
I started watching Oz over the weekend. I am about 7 episodes into the first season and am enjoying it. It is funny how many faces I recognize now from that show (Mister Eko!). It must have been a big break for a lot of actors.
What I do find mildly annoying about the show are those breaks with the guy in the wheelchair and the spinning cell. It just comes across as so cheesy to me, especially when he has that awful headset mic on. So bad.
I love O'Reilly though.
He is such a bastard and I know that eventually everyone on the cell block will have a reason to kill him, but it is fun as hell to watch him work that ladder one rung at a time. I also had to chuckle at the cannibal guy that started going to mass after the priest explained that the Eucharist actually transformed the wine and bread to the physical body and blood of christ.
-

Actually from what I've seen I actually kind of like them. They were really tastefully done, and captured the essence of the original and kept the style of the time without adding anything flashy or ridiculous. It really did look like a re-enactment of what was originally done back in the day.
The only reason they had to do them anyways was because the original effects shots were done on 60's videotape, which has obviously degraded to the point of being pure shit. When they went to do the HD transfer for the show, they really didn't have any other choice.
-

Don't worry, they stop doing that in season 2

I was hoping that would happen! yay!
also, the song during the credits is owning me.
-
Dear Netflix,
Please check to ensure that when you put a season up for stream, YOU FUCKING LABEL IT RIGHT! Augh. I started watching what Netflix assured me was episode 1, season 1 of Doctor Who late last week. I was mildly perplexed by Christopher Eccleston as the Dr., since I was reasonably certain that he was much later in the lineage than that, but I watched anyway. When I got to The End of the World, though, the sheer mass of pop culture references that would simply have been IMPOSSIBLE in season 1 (iPod, Britney Spears, Soft Cell, etc), I fled to Wikipedia for a list of the Dr.s, and sure enough, Eccleston was something like NINTH. I HATE it when Netflix labels stuff wrong!
No <3,
Naylzie
All that said, I do rather like Eccleston as the Dr. and very much look forward to when I actually get there from the beginning.
-
Actually, Netflix has that right. That point is widely considered a "reboot" of sorts, after the show had been off the air for 17 years.
As for the really old stuff, the DVDs (and thus what's on Netflix) is all listed by story name, and not by season. As well, not all of it is out on DVD yet (and thus, not available on Netflix yet). As well, a significant portion of the old stuff is just gone completely, due to the BBC's stupid old policy of throwing out tapes after airing them. Check here for a good list (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_serials) and maybe you can line that up with what's available on Netflix.

The only reason they had to do them anyways was because the original effects shots were done on 60's videotape, which has obviously degraded to the point of being pure shit. When they went to do the HD transfer for the show, they really didn't have any other choice.
I assumed the reason for it was along those lines. For what it is, it wasn't like "hey, that doesn't even look like the enterprise anymore" or anything, but sometimes I enjoy the things about a comic/show/movie/etc. that date it, sometimes that's some of the magic.
I just would have rathered it been what was originally viewed back in the 60's (to the "T") if I could have helped it.
its really such a minute to complain about, I know, but yeah, we all have our ticks.

SPOCK SHOT FIRST!
-
Netflix is going up in price. Not sure if I should put this here or in the vent thread. :hmm:
-
I knew this was coming. Now that it is such a popular outlet, all the content providers will be jacking up their licensing fees. I see this shit all the time. Let's just hope Netflix knows that hardball is the only way to play with these greedy fuckers. Once they realize the only choice is get paid something versus get paid nothing, they usually come to their senses.
edit: I just read the new pricing and it's still exactly the same for streaming only (at least in the states) at $7.99/month. All they are doing is reflecting their cost of replicating and mailing physical media versus their cost of streaming it. Unlimited DVD's (1 out at a time) is another $7.99/month.
-
oh, then i can deal. ill just torrent what i cant find streaming. :-X
-
The whole netflix pricing thing doesn't bother me at all, really. Sure, I'll be paying 60% more, but given their overall operating costs, they could have EASILY doubled the price on us. And I personally think it's still worth it overall.
It would be nice if you had the option to choose one or the other. If you have a disc sent out, streaming gets locked out until it returns, then you can choose when to send another physical disc. I'm guessing that's too close to the current structure though.
In other related news, Home Movies is on streaming now. Brendan Small is a genius.
edit - If I had a gps, I'd want H Jon Benjamin to be the voice on it.

I heard about B&B coming back this morning. I, for one, cannot wait.
-
im happy they kept the animation the same.
-
I just came across Parenthood, and I'm hooked. I'll watch anything with either Peter Krause or Lauren Graham in, so to have both is fantastic.
-
im happy they kept the animation the same.
yes this. I dont think the world is ready for CGI Beavis and Butthead.
-
Apart from True Blood I'm not watching much.
Just started The Big C on recommendation from a friend.
-

i have vague memories of it, but do remember the toys being fairly kick ass.

haha nice. thanks!

The Booth at the End. Hulu it, friends.

just finished watching life on mars on netflix...the show itself was pretty good, the soundtrack was excellent, but the ending omg just fantastic!

Anyone watching Breaking Bad?
-
I am, but I'm a couple weeks behind.
-
I was late to work on Sunday night because I wanted to catch the end of Breaking Bad. I watched it passively for the first few seasons, but I'm watching it religiously now.
-
Sons of Anarchy tonight!

Sons of Anarchy tonight!
!!!!!!
Best news of today!

Anyone watching Breaking Bad?
I cant wait to see the new season. With these 12 episode season type of shows, I usually wait until the season finishes and then watch them all on one go or over a couple of days.
Can't wait for SOA either. That one I may have to just watch in pieces. I don't know if I can hold out.

That's definitely the best way to watch some of these programs for sure, I just can't hold out that long!
-
I started the latest season of Fringe last night. I skipped out on it this season for some reason and need to catch up.
-
Every time I look for a new TV series to burn through that I haven't seen before, one always pops up... The Wire. It is always being fawned over as the best TV series ever. Is it really that good? I am always tempted to start it but wanted to see what people around here thought first. You all are pretty good at separating quality from over-hype.
-
Good kick-off to the new series of Sons, it's going to get messy! Jacks is looking more Green Streets this series!
-
I really wish Stephen Colbert would get the FUCK off of his high-horse and start voicing Professor Impossible again...
-
fuck yeah.
-
Anyone watching Breaking Bad?
it had such a slow burn this season, but holy shit is it ever picking up speed now.
awesome, awesome, awesome. that show is consistently good.
-

awesome, awesome, awesome. that show is consistently good.
Hermanos was a great episode, it was good to see some reveal about Gus' past in Chile.
-
The Walking Dead next month!!! The 19th of October if I'm not mistaken.
-
enjoy it because it's probably going to get real bad considering they sacked darabont. :(
-
I'm hoping they can persevere. It was one of the most worthwhile shows to watch last year and it would be ass if only one season was any good. :(
-
enjoy it because it's probably going to get real bad considering they sacked darabont. :(
It always blows my mind when they sack the creator.
-
I really wish Stephen Colbert would get the FUCK off of his high-horse and start voicing Professor Impossible again...
Not likely to happen. Colbert's too busy, and Doc and Jackson spend a good two–three minutes on the season 4.2 commentary talking about how much they love Bill Hader and his new version of Prof. Impossible.
If you haven't watched the commentary of those shows, you really should. It's pretty much Doc and Jackson riffing on whatever the hell comes to their mind. Like Doc trying to extract his essential salts to sell for a quick buck on eBay. Or their ideas for the the worst possible Venture Bros. t-shirts ("Oh No! It's G.U.A.R.D.O.!").
-
I blew through season 3 of Fringe over the past couple of weeks. I had become a bit disenchanted with the show since season 2 ended, but can honestly say this season was the best one yet. I am loving where the story has gone, not to mention it contains my new favourite Fringe episode: Lysergic Acid Diethylamide. It had LSD, cell-shaded animation, and Leonard Nimoy in it. How can you lose? 8-)
-
man, sons of anarchy is going strong this season.
-
man, sons of anarchy is going strong this season.
I really want to wait till the season is done, then watch it all in one go... But my will is fading...
-
I am doing the same thing and finding it difficult. Be strong, brother.
-
You have no idea. I keep thinking, on the first episode won't hurt anything. Then I will know how much time has passed from the end of last season till now. BUT then I think, that if I get one, I will want another and another. THEN I will have to wait week by week. Instead its gona be a day full of nothing but SOA. And that day, will be like a gift from god. Oh yes.
-
I started season 4 of Breaking Bad over the weekend. TPD, you weren't kidding. Slow burner indeed. I can feel it picking up a bit now, but what a droning start.
-
My withering hope for Dexter may be strengthening. I can't speak positively just yet.
-
The first ep of Dexter was good. I loved him at the reunion.
I just burned through both seasons of The Big C. SO GOOD.
-
Did anyone else get the feeling in the first ep of Dexter that...
Edward James Olmos' character might actually be that other guys version of Ghost Harry? Olmos didn't interact with anyone or anything other than the new serial killer.
-

I WAS TOTALLY THINKING THAT TOO

JUST wait till you reach the finale. holy shit what an episode.
-
JUST wait till you reach the finale. holy shit what an episode.
It was indeed a killer ending to the season except for
Gus's death. Him walking out of the room half-blown up and adjusting his tie was just terrible. That was fucking goofy, and it damn near ruined the episode for me.
My question is,
what the hell happens next season? Do we spend 13 episodes mopping up a few loose ends from Gus's cabal? Doesn't sound interesting. At this point, I'd almost prefer that episode to be the series finale. I know the writers/producers only want to do one more season, so obviously they have a plan, but still, I don't see much left to look forward to.
-
The Walking Dead tonight!
Anyone seen the webisodes they have up on YouTube? They're fairly killer (in a good way).
-
it really isn't "The Walking Dead" anymore.
-
Damn, I didn't see it yet... that's scary to hear. I'll go watch it when the TV is free and tell you what I think.
Just 'cause I'm a curious fool, can you put what you mean in spoilers or something?
-
I loved the season finale for Breaking Bad. As far as what will go on next season, I am fairly certain
it will end with Walter's death. I can't see them ending it any other way. I just hope I don't have to see his family whacked by the cartel or something like that.
The wife and I started watching Madmen for the first time. We finished season 1 yesterday and it definitely lives up to the hype. It is a fantastic show. On a side note, having quit smoking 9 years ago, I have never wanted a cigarette more in my life than I do when I watch this fucking show!!! :'(
-

you're the only person I know who hated that. that was awesome. and totally plausible. especially with someone with that much determination as he had.
loved that scene.
-
it really isn't "The Walking Dead" anymore.
Yeah, didn't they fire the lead writer?
you're the only person I know who hated that. that was awesome. and totally plausible. especially with someone with that much determination as he had.

I liked it too, Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but chickens can run around with their heads cut off for a short time, and well, Gus was the chicken man!

They've said in an interview that Walter will pay for his crimes, so that could either mean death or jail. I'm leaning towards the former.
-
I'm watching SOA. I was really trying to wait till the end of this season. But it got the best of me...
I also can't wait for Game of thrones S2... However, April is a long way off...
-
I'm watching SOA. I was really trying to wait till the end of this season. But it got the best of me...
hahaha weird. I was planning on starting it this week too for the same reason. Once I saw that there are only 2 or 3 episodes left, I said fuck it.
-
I watched three eps like night. Good stuff. Can't wait for the season to be done with...
-
Finished SOA. Good stuff. Not really sure what else to say about it. other then I want the new season to start soon.
-
I wrapped up SOA this week too. It was pretty damn good, but it crawled a bit at first like this last season of Breaking Bad did.
I felt like <spoiler if you havent seen the whole season yet>
The cartel contacts exposing themselves as Feds and how they cock-blocked the Rico investigation seemed be a little too "deus ex machina" for me. It's almost like they were really supposed to be gangsters the whole time and then they rewrote the final couple of scripts at the last minute.
Started Dexter season 6 last night. God, I really missed this show. I was very pumped to see Edward James Olmos in it this season!
-
On SoA
The cartel being on the Fed payroll and blitzing the Rico was just shoehorned in at the last minute, it seems to me that this season is one of those 'transitional' ones where they're more interested in setting up the next season. We now have to watch them deal with the Cartel an Rico problem along with Pope's father (who apparently is a huge gangland boss). Not to mention the fact that Clay is not going to just sit there like a loyal puppy to whatever the hell it is that Jacks wants, then there's also the Opie situation.
Also, (I forget the guys name now), but why make all the effort to get that guy Tigg didn't like (over a woman I believe) into the storyline when he wanted to transfer over to SAMCRO in season 3, only to forget about him all season except to blow him up with a landmine?
Honestly, this season didn't give me as much excitement as the last, my girlfriend and I literally yelled and punched the air when Opie took out Stahl. That said, I absolutely love Potter.
Dexter is shaping up great, and on Olmos, called it!
-
Ya it seamed that the last episode was more about setting up next season instead of making this one kick ass. They kinda tied up some of the stuff JT's letters. But other wise it's gona be all about next season...
And the Cartel being with the CIA pissed me off... That was bullshit.
-
Anyone catch the new bag of bones last night?
-
brilliant move (seriously). I may actually watch this show now.
Howard Stern named judge of "America's Got Talent" (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_TV_HOWARD_STERN_TALENT?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2011-12-15-09-22-25)
-
Wrapping up the last episode of the latest Dexter season tonight. I really like this season so much more than the last one. Tom Hank's kid did a phenomenal job.
-
I'm now on season 4 episode 8 of breaking bad. :-X
-
Recently finished seasons 1-5 of dexter and all of firefly
Just watched the second episode of breaking bad last night, omg disturbing I think I dreamed about the bathtub thing...
-
TIP OF THE ICEBURG WITH BREAKING BAD!
just watched the pilot of the new show, Awake.
I like it so far, really intriguing stuff
-
I started watching Lilyhammer last night. Ran through the first 2 episodes and so far, so good. It's cool to see Netflix getting in on original programming.
-
I don't know which show to start first.
Fringe or Game of Thrones.
-
You will burn through game of thrones very fast. I would start with that one.
Fringe is one of those I seem to let the entire season finish before I watch it. Otherwise I start forgetting subplots and story arcs if I spread it out over 9 months. lol.
-
What r00 said.
Plus, Game of Thrones season 2 starts April 1st. YOU GOTTA GET CAUGHT UP!!
-
yeah, all my friends are caught up on Game of Thrones right now, and there is only the one season.
Has anyone read the books?
-
I'm on book three of them. And the show was very close to the first book, realllllllly close. Other then a few very minor things being different (Like the king being a beast at like 6 foot 6 and fat instead of being a shortish guy and fat) Other wise the show was very true to the book.
-
I have read the first book and am halfway through the second. I'll probably wait until the new season is close to being done before I watch it (depending on when I finish the book). I agree with Aaron though... the series was pretty damn close to the book as far as the plot goes. It really is an amazing job that HBO has done bringing it to the small screen. It even appeals to people that aren't that into fantasy. (Ask turtle. 8-p)
-
catching up on Community. midway thru season 2. holy fuckballs. awesome.
other good shows:
-Being Human (North America) has gone from "quaint little sometimes funny horror show filmed in my backyard" to "really awesome supernatural drama that pulls no punches that just happens to feature cameos by people i know and work with". Really good. Worth checking out. Haven't seen the UK version, but Sam Witwer is in this one and he's awesome.
-ARCHER continues to own.
-South Park still being awesome (esp that qvc slam last week)
-And I still haven't seen Walking Dead season 2 because i'm a bad comicbook/zombie nerd.
-And Mad Men made a much needed return complete with quebecois cussing. Câlisse!
Mad Men Spoiler (that features quebecois):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOEdZHRzU0Q
-
The US version of Being Human surprised me. It started off a little weak, IMO, but so far it's only getting stronger and more interesting without stealing concepts and ideas from its UK counterpart (which wasn't/isn't bad at all in itself, but I feel it shares the curse of taking a while to pick up momentum).
nerd bonus: seeing Starkiller's voice actor playing a vampire as a TV actor kind of made me laugh -- in a good way, as he plays the character pretty damn well, if you ask me.
ARCHER is fucking hilarious AND it makes the boob-lover in me shine! I don't always get to watch it, but when I do, LOLs commence.
Haven't seen much South Park lately--I never really watched the show except in clips on YouTube. I blame this on my brother refusing to let me watch the show until I was 18. lolz
TWD kind of struck me as odd this season. It's definitely going in a different direction than the comic book went, which I think you will understand when you watch season two. I don't know if this is good or bad yet.
-
starkiller (haven't played those games yet, gulp!) was also kick ass in TWD's former showrunner's The Mist. In fact, he was supposed to be in the season premiere of TWD season 2 but that got axed when frank was axed. awesome story on what could have been:
http://www.craveonline.com/tv/articles/180899-frank-darabont-reveals-original-plans-for-the-walking-dead-season-2-opener
he's also played crashdown on BSG and was in Dexter too. I dig his stuff.
-
finally caught up on dexter, finished season 6 last night. i think we need to just suck it up and pay extra to get showtime since i am now addicted to dexter, californication and weeds...
trying to decide what to watch (on netflix) next, mad men or community are contenders right now
-
On Episode 7 of Game of Thrones!
-
I need to get back on the case with Game of Thrones, I've seen 4 episodes and thought it was Excellent, I need to sign up to Netflix or something!
-
HBO doesn't publish any of its shows on Netflix, so your only choice is either streaming from HBO, buying the discs, or torrents. Just be careful if you grab a recently premiered HBO episode. They are well known for bugging public torrents or sending nasty-grams to people who share them within the first week or two of their premiere dates.
Speaking of HBO shows, I just started watching The Wire. I am only 5 episodes into the first season, but so far it isn't living up to the hype. I always have heard it praised as "the best television series of all-time" and such. Has anyone here watched it? Am I just not far enough into it yet to get really hooked?
-
My roommate watched it. And he said he hated it for most of season one. About the half way point he started to care thought. I haven't watched it, so I can't really say... I'd say if you don't like it by the end of season 1 I'd stop watching...
-
finished breaking bad season 3 last night. really need to see if we can get ahold of season 4 since it's not on netflix and i must know what happens!
started watching mad men, i'm on episode 4 and so far i'm pretty meh about it...
-
finished breaking bad season 3 last night. really need to see if we can get ahold of season 4 since it's not on netflix and i must know what happens!
Do you need a demonoid invite? I have an invite code if you need one. Just shoot me a PM.
-
if you have two, hook a brotha up!

That I did not know :( Unfortunately, region blocking stops me watching HBO, I'll have to find them elsewhere, but thanks for the heads up.
Has anyone seen Castle? I really like Jeremy Renner, but I know little about the show.
-
The Oatmeal put this gem together (http://theoatmeal.com/comics/game_of_thrones) about a month before the Game of Thrones season 1 DVDs were finally released a few weeks ago. Couldn't possibly be more apt.
-
if you have two, hook a brotha up!
Unfortunately, that was my last one. 8( But they should throw me some more at some point. Hopefully in a month or so. Once I get another, it's yours!

hahaha! that's perfect and represents exactly why corporations like HBO are losing money left and right. GET WITH THE FUCKING TIMES.
-
Finished Season 1 of Game of Thrones. SO GOOD
-
How badly do you want to stab Joffrey in the eyeballs?
-
-
GAH! that fuckin' kid!
-
I think I need to get on board with this
-
Tyrion Lannister is becoming a favorite character of mine.
-
I am halfway through the 2nd book and my love for Tyrion multiplies by the page. The HBO show totally nailed the casting of him with Peter Dinklage as well. That guy plays arrogant dry sarcasm so well.
-
Tyrion Lannister is becoming a favorite character of mine.
He's easily the best character to me!
-
This show "Awake" is getting better and better
-
easily the best damn south park ep in a long time.
i still love the show... but holy shit they really hit the nail on the head with this one.
-
also, i fucking love community like nobody's business.
-
I'm midway through Shameless (US) Season 2. Still really good. Some of the stuff that is happening is kinda stupid. BUT good over all.
-
madmen continues to own me.
-
breaking bad: ready for season 5 8-)
mad men: finished season 1, got way better once they got past the whole omg women were treated differently back then! thing
also watching the last 2 seasons of the x-files with B, I never got around to buying them because I remember them being super annoying without DD but so far not horrible
next up after that might just be lost, it showed up on netflix the other day and I never watched it at the time, wtf?
-
Lost is a good ride. It is one of the few series that I have watched through in its entirety several times.
-
- finished through season 3 of Breaking Bad
-just watched season 1 of the Wire- what a fucking great show!
-
I just finished season 1 of The Wire too. It was ok for me. I liked some of the characters and it definitely picked up towards the end, but left me a bit meh. Having said that, I am several episodes into season 2 and can say I am enjoying it MUCH MORE this time around. \m/
-
I just think that the dialogue was amazing. Those characters were real people to me. I can't wait to check out the other seasons.
-
I'm gona have to watch The Wire. I'm not big on cop shows, but I will check into it.
I finished Season 2 of Shameless (US) Good stuff. Still really like the show, can't wait for season 3.
Also I want Game of Thrones S2 to be done so I can watch it all in a day or two.
-
I just got on board the Game of Thrones train and fuck it's good. It's been so long since I've had a show that I really hang out for each week.
Also hooked on Revenge (yeah i know. I KNOW).
Still enjoing The Big C and Nurse Jackie too.
-
wrapping up The Wire season 3 tonight and starting season 4.
ZOMG Petyr Baelish is in season 3. Took me almost the entire season to finally realize where I had seen him before. haha
-
I dont usually watch these kinds of shows, but I will definitely be checking out America's Got Talent tonight. I have to due to Stern. I love that guy.
-
Game of Thrones, OMG
-
wtf we can't get showtime in canada? lame!
-
Lost is a good ride. It is one of the few series that I have watched through in its entirety several times.
I found the ending so disappointing! Same as Brainstorm and Contact (movies). Can't bear all that heavenly stuff, angels and shit! I'm an atheist and I was hoping for something more original!
-
Almost finished mad men s4, AND omg we got hbo and movie central with all the on demand stuff so will be getting on the game of thrones bandwagon, also have californication s5 to catch up on :)
-
I found the ending so disappointing!
I know I am a minority in how much I loved the ending. I thought it was almost perfect. They had written themselves into several hundred corners and instead of picking one of those to wrap it up, they went with a new corner. ha! I see where the hate comes from, but it could have been so, so much worse.
-
I am working my way through The Wire season 4 and it is definitely my favourite season so far.
-
GAME OF THRONES OMG I'VE BEEN WAITING MY WHOLE LIFE FOR SOMETHING THIS AWESOME
-
I am on the third book now and just started watching the second season.
**spoiler alert**
I can't believe the amount of changes from the book they have put in the second season versus the first. It's crazy. Even a character's sexual orientation has changed. 8|
-
I am on the third book now and just started watching the second season.
I'm a little ways into book three. I haven't started the second season though...
SPOILERS
that fucking sucks they are changing shit up from the book this time around. The first season it was pretty much dead on. The only things I really notices were small things different. Doesn't give me much hope for season three.
-
GAME OF THRONES OMG I'VE BEEN WAITING MY WHOLE LIFE FOR SOMETHING THIS AWESOME
Finished s1 in less than a week, onto s2 :D
-
Downton Abbey. Yes.
-
Season 6 was way better than season 5 of Dexter.
-
I agree. Hanks and Olmos did a great job.
*spoiler alert**
I do find the whole Deb realizing she is in love with Dexter thing kind of creepy (as opposed to serial killing, right? haha)
-
Season 6 was way better than season 5 of Dexter.
I agree with this statement.
Although I think the season with john lithgow is my fav (season 4?)
-
I think my favourites are the Doakes seasons (1 and 2).
-
I stopped watching after season 3. Not even sure why, just can't get back into it...
Dead Like Me Fucking great show, I'm only a few episodes in, however, I'm really impressed. I like how odd the idea of it is, and yet it really works. It's kinda saddening and yet, also funny at times as well...
-
this is definitely my fav out of all the breaking bad promo pics that are showing up on fb right now
-
eek that was kinda big...oh well still awesome
-
the pic size worked for me. It made it that much more funny when I scrolled down to see "bitch".
-
Did you watch last night's episode? There was a hilarious Jesse "bitch" moment
-
"Yeah bitch!!! Magnets, ohhh!!"
-
haha.
I am going to wait until this season finishes and then burn through them all at once.
Right now I am watching that American Horror Story series. It is seriously demented shit, but entertaining.
-
I think my favourites are the Doakes seasons (1 and 2).
Mine too, I always thought it was a shame that they never brought in Dr Danko from the second book though, he had a good connection with Doakes.
-
haha.
I am going to wait until this season finishes and then burn through them all at once.
Right now I am watching that American Horror Story series. It is seriously demented shit, but entertaining.
I'm going to do the same. I started watching the first season, then waited for season two. Then said fuck it, waiting till it's all done.
-
Just found out the second half of breaking bad season 5 won't air until next year :hmm:
-
i cant believe where they left it. that, along with how they did the flash forward in the first episode of the 5th season really has me excited.
-
I KNOW!
Loved the scene of Walt taking care of mike's guys, quite possibly one of my alltime fav bb scenes :)
-
trying not to read some of this as i have 2 more episodes to watch...
But it's a blatant bullshit money grab on AMC's part to get two seasons out of the cost of one. AMC is in financial trouble and I can almost guarantee this move is all a part of that. It's the same trouble that caused them to attempt massive rate increases with all new broadcast contracts this year and get dropped by Dish and a few other carriers. Now, due to their greed, they are in even greater financial trouble since they have to adjust their ad prices due to having at least 25% less viewership in the states. (Not to mention revenue and ratings losses from those AMC dropped customers that now turn to bitorrent instead of their DVR's to grab their "split season.")
The show is one of the best shows of all time, but AMC business practices can suck it.

r00 we must discuss when you are caught up!
-
watching the last episode tonight! 8)
I will soon be watching all the seasons again because turtle has yet to see it. I can't wait. What a ride.
-
Ok apparently I haven't tuned in to anything on TLC in quite a while, wtf happened? Can this really be classified as "learning" at this point?
-
TLC haven't referred to themselves as "The Learning Channel" in years. To be honest, it looks more like its run by Barnum & Bailey now.
-
Every single commercial break was all about this honey boo boo show, it hurt my brain so I had to turn it off
-
I thought Honey Boo Boo was some new cartoon until I looked it up.
Then I cried.
-
At least they've moved away from the non-stop deluge of dwarves. That was seriously getting insulting for a while, I think they have four simultaneous shows about different "little people" running at the same time.
Every last one of their commercial breaks seriously looked like an old-timey sideshow hawker. "WE GOT MIDGETS!! THEY'RE MAKING CHOCOLATE!! THEY'RE CURING PATIENTS!! THEY'RE BUILDING CATAPULTS!! MIDGETS!! YAY!!"
Now they've kinda moved into the mass procreation arena more than anything else. "HOLY FUCK LOOK AT HOW MUCH FUCKING THESE FUCKING PEOPLE HAVE FUCKED!!"
-
I have started watching the reboot Hawaii Five-0 series and I can't tell you how much I love it so far. Well written, well acted, and you can't beat the scenery. I remember watching the original with my parents as a little kid, so it's got that nostalgia thing going for it too.
-
American Horror Story :o
-
Pretty goddamn dark, isn't it?
-
its so weird. im almost done with the first season. 4 more episodes and then ill be ready for this 2nd Season next month.
-
Dexter omgomgomg!
-
And in other tv news I know I'm like 2 1/2 years behind on this one but I really enjoyed lost but the finale left me feeling all empty and kind of ripped off...
Also really digging boardwalk empire! I'm almost caught up and was super excited that s3 has just started :)

Sometimes I wonder if I am the only person that loved the Lost finale. I really liked how they did that whole last season. The worst thing they could have done with that finale is end it with another massive question or left it open ended. That would have been way too cliche and expected. I realize they kind of wrote themselves into a corner, but I think they pulled it off with style. Fantastic show.
-
Oh definitely a great show, I just feel like nothing was resolved at all!
-
I think if too many things were directly resolved as well it also would've ruined the general motif the show had been going for in the last few years. Resolution for a lot of things can be found buried in the minute details, analyzed to death in wikis and blogs and wotnot. I'm pretty sure the creators wanted to give the viewer the same general feeling that the characters themselves were feeling--stuck in a world they don't understand, taking actions with only the smallest amount of rationalization behind them possible in order to keep the world together.
At least it wasn't the Battlestar Galactica finale, which took a whole other series to begin to explain. I'm still pissed that people didn't watch Caprica. It was awesome.
-
Oh definitely a great show, I just feel like nothing was resolved at all!
I felt the same way, there's such a thing as too much mystery. I do realise that they backed themselves into a corner and it could have gotten a lot worse, but it also could have been a little better and actually satisfied some of the bigger questions that now just seem like so much unexplained fodder.
In other news, holy shit Sons of Anarchy!

AMERICAN HORROR STORY STARTS BACK UP TONIGHT
-
something actually happened on the first episode of season 3 of The Walking Dead! Exciting :)
Loving Sunday nights right now, The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire and Dexter back to back.
We started watching Community on netflix recently, why did I never watch this show before???
-
The Green Arrow series "Arrow" is actually pretty fucking entertaining.
And i'm one of those fanboi purists.
And yes, Dexter omfg.
Still haven't seen AHS or WD.
i know, right?

Is it worth watching though? I got really quite fed up of Series 2 of Finding Sophie because nothing happens for such a long time, the zombies are a complete afterthought while they concentrate on cliché human drama and some things completely made no sense to me, like pulling the zombie out of the well only to realise that they couldn't use the water anyway - what so nobody figured out that it would be bad without removing the zombie? I realise this is one really minor example, but this kind of filler really grates on me. Oh yeah, not to mention the best character gets next to no screen time.
Anyone watching Sons? This series is already off with a massive bang, love it!
-
I really liked the Lost finale.
I think Dexter is going to be mostly filler this season. I wish they'd not killed off the creepy maze guy.
-
I haven't watched this week's walking dead but I have very high hopes after the premier...already way better than last season
I 'm really enjoying dexter! Maybe I just haven't gotten over the excitement of Deb knowing yet
-
American horror story this season is amazing so far
Walking Dead and Dexter and both surprising me with how much I'm liking them this season.
I'm happy they did what they did with the maze guy, honestly. His "work" was only KINDA interesting, he really didn't do to much for me as a character.
After the premier episode of the new season of Sons of Anarchy, I'm not sure if I care enough to go on anymore? Especially because something got ruined for me and I don't want to see it happen.
-
is there any way we can have a spoiler font added to this site again? 8(
-
I could've swore I had one installed at one point. I think it might've broke with one of the upgrades. I'll see what I can do.
-
Ah r00 I forgot you don't watch everything until the season is over :(
-
Spoiler tags work!
ahhhh there's going to be a Breaking Bad episode of Mythbusters!!! And they're going to test the bathtub scene from season 1! http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/11/02/mythbusters-breaking-bad-episode/

!!!
-
I started watching The Wire. I'm a couple episodes into S3 now. And I fucking love it. I have heard from a lot of people it starts off slow and then builds up. But I don't really think so. There may not be a ton of gun fights and blowing shit up, but it doesn't seem slow to me. Either way, I really like it...
-
omg season finale of Dexter was crazy!
-
started watching Girls, hilarious!
-
In honor of the return of Game of Thrones, here is some awesome.
These guys recreated Westeros in Minecraft. Pretty impressive!

Stokd about Madmen returning.
Archer is still amazeballs.
Newgirl is still one of the funniest and quirky and well written "sitcoms".
Community is very hit and miss these days.

Watch these. All of them. Some are fucking amazing, and others are just really good.

Thanks!

PS. the last video "Bad Motherfucker" is the best music video ever made. Or at lest right up there with Tool.
-
I got all of Star Trek TNG I will be watching it slowly but surly. (I also reuped my wow account so I won't be doing anything not nerdy for awhile now...) But I have watched a lot of it, but never from the start, or in order at lest...

Cool! I have been burning through all the TNG episodes in order over the past couple of months. I am now towards the end of Season 4. I think the HD versions only are up to 4 or 5 now, so I may be waiting. Stepping back to standard resolution on those sucks. The HD versions look beautiful!
I have seen most of them too when they were out and in reruns, but never in order and I am sure I missed a few of them here and there. It really is a glorious show. Great characters, great stories. I think season 2 is my favourite.
-
I didn't grow up with it. But I would always watch it on tv reruns when I had the chance. And now I can watch it start to finish. And I'm going very slow... I'm done with a few eps in S1...
-
Hannibal.
I just finished watching Season 1. It was amazing. It's been a long time since I've read any of the books. BUT the show seemed true to form. And it was odd seeing Hannibal as not Hopkins. However the guy that plays him fucking nails it. I am more then impressed by his chops. And really the whole cast is awesome. When Season 2 is done, I'll watch it... (I watched two episodes on Friday and then 4 or 5 on Saturday and the rest today.)
