Watched Skyline last night... found it unimpressive. I was much angrier at the end of it, but I've cooled off. I get what they were trying to do; it's an alien invasion from the perspective of Normal People. No reason for the invasion is ever given, or even hinted at. This is a fairly large part of my objection to the movie. Another complaint stems from the fact that, if I wanted to see Normal People, I'd go to the mall or something. I'd probably care about as much about the random strangers there as I did about the characters in the movie. And, of course,
in the end, the one guy who got blasted with the blue light twice without getting beamed away manages to take over one of the aliens' weird harvester robots to save the day, but
the movie ends before anything really comes of it.
It had potential. It really COULD have been a good alien movie, while still taking a different path. They just didn't quite get it right.
