Tim, I feel about the same way you do. I was turned off by HTDA, but this new album is actually fairly interesting.

ps. Glad to see you guys still exist and NIN.COM thread is still going.

Malkav!  I was going through my phone directory the other day. saw your number, and wondered if you were still around.  8)

It has, indeed.  r00: If I remember correctly I still have the same phone number.

So as to this new NIN tour. What does any of this even mean? Can I expect not see Head Like a Hole and Closer played anymore? But they are touring arenas...
It'll have to be something pretty radically different to get me to go to an arena show. I haven't  been to any sort of show in at least two years.

i'm excited!

though the wave goodbye thing was odd now, in retrospect, but a million bands have done that.
knowing trent though, something unique will come with this.

im hoping he will retire more of the bigger hit songs and dig deeper into the library.

Songs I would love to see retired:

Wish
Gave Up
Closer
Hurt

I'm sure there are a few others, but those are the main offenders IMO.

I haven't ever seen them live. And don't get me wrong. I would love to see those songs. I would rather have others...

it would be cool if he did some remix versions of his songs.

like the sam fog remix of every day is exactly the same or EL-P's version of Only.

I love how the NINJA tour dropped closer. And maybe some of those other ones... having said that.... I'd love to see this "new spin" tackle those classics.
