Ah okay; thanks dearie, will do tonight.

Looking at the pricing tier for the Staples Center I figure I'll be up in the rafters again but I am troubled by the use of another vendor because they put a Ticketbastard outlet in my town again and that is most handy but not in this case, apparently.  I have the upsetness.

<3<3<3

ticket prices are really cray-cray.
i usually catch several shows i can on a leg… and not doing that this time around. just catching the mtl one with a bff who's never seen 'em live.
worst thing are the apologists defending the high prices and shitting on fans who think it's high.

Luna - I was but I still don't know which one it is!  Someone give me a FB link (or if you did and I'm stupid say, "Bitch I already done told you it's this!")

<cynicism:on>
Well yeah,  totally.  I'm thinking there was A Talk:
"Honey, remember that career we talked about having together?  Well, uh, turns out it's going to lose money and, uh, what with the economy struggling to emerge from Zombie Apocalypse and all, it's time for me to totally cash in on Ol'Gloomy - as they call me on the interwebz - and tour like the somewhat younger and angrier Roger Waters for-seemingly-ever.  Except, of course, I made a new record so they can't call me a sellout.  In five years when you don't even want me around because I'm old and you want to be a MILF?  The money will make you feel all better, trust me."
A buddy of mine dubbed Destroy Angels as NINgs.
I lulzed.

(but hey, at least Linda McCartney knew her limitations…)

And Chimmy, I was so stoked about Belew on this tour (for those very WTF reasons) and had an FB meltdown over his sudden departure.
le sigh.

Liddy Buck is a definite WHA? although it wouldn't surprise me if he listens to NIN, he's weird that way.  Pino, however, is a session player legend, so like Freese he eventually ends up playing with everyone.  I get what you mean about Adrian but it's just that - to me - I cannot see him in the kind of atmosphere a NIN show creates.

Okay so there was this nagging voice in my head about CBH and I finally realized it's that it reminds me of "Only" because it's like Trent is recursively quoting himself again and that's his thing and all BUT while the former is clever (because I say it is) the latter strikes me as tired, and part of the reason is it is seriously lacking a dynamic arrangement, which is what we expect from NIN.  B makes a good point about the first single tending to be an unfortunate choice (on purpose, maybe?) and I really hope this is the case because I can't take a whole album of halfassed NIN.

The video...now I love DL, y'all know I do but it's like he's trying to make us have a seizure and while I wouldn't discount that as an artistic statement and all, it's entirely the wrong song to set it to.  So yeah, it comes off badly and I don't blame all those who are trashing it.

yeah the thing about the video is I get that it's Lynch and thus supposed to be super artsy but I can't even watch it to attempt to enjoy the artsyness because it makes my brain hurt.

I can definitely see that he was trying to visually capture the feel of the song with the strobe lights but it is just too much. I was thinking Lynch should stick to movies but then it occurred to me that I can't think of anything he's done that has been really good since Mulholland Drive :(

watching the stream too.

Eh I don't know how I feel about about the sanctified retooling. I'm totally up for more surprises though. So far this show is pretty good.
