We kept in touch via mutant carrier pigeons... but there was no sure way of telling if aaron actually sent those messages on those 3 winged birds. Sure, he wrote them on Fred Myer receipts... but anyone could have known about THAT trick. Communicating in this futuristic wasteland was always a gamble.
